FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mission 2 Scheduled for Midwest Honor Flight
REGIONAL – November 8, 2017 – Midwest Honor Flight, a national hub through the Honor Flight Network, is announcing the date of their second flight scheduled for Tuesday, May 15, 2018, leaving from Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD). Midwest Honor Flight is looking for World War II veterans and veterans from the Korean War and Vietnam War interested in taking a flight to Washington D.C., free of charge - priority given to WWII veterans.
This second chartered flight is scheduled to take over 80 veterans along with guardians, volunteers, and administrators to Washington, D.C. to honor these veterans for their service and sacrifice to our nation at no cost to the veteran. Our Mission is to transport America’s Veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their fellow veterans.
From Aaron Van Beek, Director of Midwest Honor Flight, “We are excited to offer Mission 2 to our American heroes to visit their memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice in our nation’s capital - Washington, D.C! This is only possible however by the support of community members, organizations, and businesses. Veterans do not pay a single cent for their trip. That's why donations are vital to our organization.” Midwest Honor Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing veterans from Northwest Iowa, South Dakota, and Southwest Minnesota with honor and closure. All donations are tax deductible.
