It's hard to believe that come October 9, 2021, 120 Vietnam Veterans from Northwest Iowa, South Dakota, and Southwest Minnesota will be traveling through our nation's capital - Washington, D.C. Participating Midwest Honor Flight Veterans will leave Sioux Falls Regional Airport on Saturday, October 9 early in the morning and fly to Reagan National Airport (DCA) to visit Arlington and Washington D.C. Our Tour will consist of a visit to The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to witness the Changing of the Guard located in Arlington National Cemetery, Iwo Jima (Marine) and the Air Force Memorials. With a boxed lunch, we will see downtown DC and the Navy Memorial before we complete the trip with stops at the World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War.

What comes next? Well, that's up to the general public! We will have a few things for the Veterans to do on the flight home but we need YOUR HELP to make their Welcome Home something special when we arrive back in Sioux Falls when we are escorted from the Sioux Falls Regional Airport to the South Dakota Military Alliance. Do you have time on Saturday, October 9 to get the family together, make a poster or two, and join us in the South Dakota Military Alliance to welcome these American Heroes home from their Final Tour with Honor? We'd love to have the space filled to capacity to show these Veterans from Vietnam just how much we appreciate their service to OUR United States of America!
