Midwest Honor Flight recognizes American Veterans for your sacrifices and achievements by flying you to Washington, D.C. to see your memorial at no cost. Top priority is given to World War II and terminally ill Veterans. We also include Korean War and Vietnam War veterans as well as those who served honorably between these wars. In order for Midwest Honor Flight to achieve this goal, Guardians fly with the Veterans on every flight providing assistance and helping Veterans have a safe, memorable and rewarding experience. Veterans are flown on a "First to Apply, First to Fly" policy.

For what you and your comrades have given to us, please consider this a small token of appreciation from all of us at Midwest Honor Flight. If you are a Veteran and would like to experience an Honor Flight at no cost to you, please complete the Veteran Application. If you know of someone who is a World War II veteran or a veteran with a terminal illness, please fill out an application and send it in on their behalf. And remember, every Veteran flies free.

The service dates for each era are as follows:
WWII: December 7, 1941 – December 31, 1946
Peacetime (Between WWII & Korea): January 1, 1947 – June 26, 1950
Korean War: June 27, 1950 – January 31, 1955
Peacetime (Between Korea & Vietnam): February 1, 1955 – February 27, 1961
Vietnam War: February 28, 1961 – May 7, 1975

WWII and terminally ill Veterans have the top priority, then followed by those who served during Korea and the peacetime between WWII & Korea, then followed by those who served during Vietnam and the peacetime between Korea & Vietnam.

If you served anywhere, at any time, in any branch and in any component (Active, Reserves, or National Guard) during the above dates, you are considered a Veteran of that era and would be eligible.
