River City Truck Fest 2025

  • Ringling Gravel & Trucking Lot 1112.5 S Main Street Platte, SD, 57369 United States (map)

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 20, 2025, as River City Truck Fest returns to Platte, SD for its second annual event. Hosted at the Ringling Gravel and Trucking lot on the south end of Main Street, this year’s event promises to have more trucks, more action, and more impact for a great cause.

Truck enthusiasts from across the Midwest are registering their pickups—many customized with amazing aftermarket features—to show off their rigs, connect with other owners, and participate in the growing community that surrounds the event.

This year introduces an exciting new feature: a 20’ x 20’ Burnout Pit, where participating trucks will smoke their tires and test their power in front of a cheering crowd. Dalton and the crew at Ringling Gravel and Trucking are hard at work prepping the area for what’s sure to be one of the day’s highlights.

Beyond the roaring engines and chrome polish, River City Truck Fest is grounded in a deeper purpose. Proceeds from the 2025 event will benefit Midwest Honor Flight, a nonprofit organization that provides all-expense-paid trips to Washington, D.C. for veterans from the Midwest to visit the war memorials built in their honor. So far, eight veterans from the Platte area have taken part in an Honor Flight mission, and five more are scheduled to travel this fall. The local impact of this mission makes it especially meaningful for the Truck Fest community to give back in this way.

Attendees will also enjoy a diverse lineup of food vendors serving up crowd favorites. Platte Locker will return with its famous brisket and brats, served alongside their creamy smoked mac and cheese. Valentino’s Pizza is bringing hearty Italian comfort food, offering pizza by the slice, lasagna, and chicken fettuccine. For a cool treat, the Ice Shack will offer a wide range of shaved ice flavors, and Udderly Delicious from Gregory will be scooping up smoothies and ice cream creations for all ages.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to join the fun. Admission is by free-will donation, with all proceeds going directly to support Midwest Honor Flight and its mission to honor our nation's veterans.

Whether you're passionate about pickups, love a community-driven cause, or simply want to enjoy a fun Saturday with great food and even better people, River City Truck Fest is an event you won’t want to miss.
