River City Truck Fest Returns to Platte, SD

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10, 2026, as River City Truck Fest returns to Platte, South Dakota, for its third annual event. Hosted at the Ringling Gravel and Construction lot on the south end of Main Street, Truck Fest will once again bring together impressive trucks, plenty of action, and a great cause.

Truck enthusiasts from across the Midwest are invited to bring their pickups to Platte to show off their rigs, connect with other truck owners, and be part of the growing River City Truck Fest community. From customized pickups with impressive aftermarket upgrades to daily drivers, all trucks and truck enthusiasts are welcome.

The 20' x 20' Burnout Pit will also return, giving participating trucks a chance to smoke their tires, show off some horsepower, and entertain the crowd.

Beyond the trucks and excitement, River City Truck Fest has always been about giving back. For the second year in a row, proceeds from the event will support Midwest Honor Flight and its mission to honor area veterans. The connection is especially meaningful to the Truck Fest community, as several veterans from Platte and the surrounding area have had the opportunity to participate in Honor Flight missions. River City Truck Fest is proud to once again support this incredible organization and help recognize the service and sacrifices of our local veterans.

Food trucks will be on the lot throughout the event, giving spectators and participants plenty of options to grab something to eat while enjoying the day.

Adding to the atmosphere this year, VT’s Rockin’ Country will be DJ-ing the event, keeping the music going throughout the day and bringing even more energy to Truck Fest. 

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to join the fun. Admission is by free-will donation, with proceeds supporting Midwest Honor Flight and its mission to honor our nation’s veterans.
